Thank you

When I think about the type of woman I want to be some day I think about the women that are in my life. The women that are or have invested  time and resources in me, women that pour into my life. I think of my  grandmothers, my aunts, my sisters, my friends, and most importantly my mom.

All week I have been looking at certain scriptures and women in the Bible who were God led women but I kept coming back to Proverbs 31. Proverbs has so much to say when it comes to women. People confuse the the idea that women in the Bible were all dried up and completely domestic. No the women in those times were EVERYTHING they got up early and stayed up late. Their strength and dignity did not come from their achievements they are a result from her reverence for God. We live in a society where appearance is everything...they never mention a women's appearance because it did not matter attractiveness in those times came entirely from character.

My mom is a woman of great character I know I'm bias because she's my mom oh well, but I can remember growing up in a world where I was always insecure and her pushing me to greater heights through encouragement and lots of prayer. My mom is a persistent prayer warrior, one time it was my first year of college and I called her before one of my test worried because I felt like I had not prepared well, she just started praying on the phone with me I was not shocked because she had done this my whole life I think that's when I started to realize what it really means to walk into to who God has called you to be. My mother is a woman who is selfless, and who always puts her families needs before her own and expects nothing in return. When I think of a woman of nobility and honor I always think of my mom.

So today I write this blog in tribute to you mom. Thank you for being my rock. Thank you for supporting and pushing me to greater heights through Christ. For being a Godly example of a wife, a mother and a sister no matter what the circumstances may be. Most importantly for being persistent in prayer for me daily. I know now that every time you get on me about something that I may not being doing right that its just your way of showing me all of what God is revealing to you. It was hard to see at first but now that I'm older and I'm striving to be all that God has called me to be I understand the lessons that you have been giving to me. I love you mom!

To my readers this week was not about anything new but I want you all to call, or go hug your mom right now! Let her know that she's amazing and give her some reasons why. Do not let Sunday be the only day you show your beautiful mother you care!

I love you all!
God led and God fed,
