Champion

I can remember the first time I ever won something. That feeling I received as the officials put that first medal around my neck. It was such an amazing time that I knew I wanted to feel that feeling again. How do you duplicate that again? How do you push yourself to win again and gain that feeling? Well I'm glad you asked. I recently watched something where he indicated a recipe for champions but I put my own spin on it. Today I'm going to walk you through how to become God's champion. There are 5 ways that I believe are key in this process and because I believe in you so much I'm going to share them!

1. Commitment
If there is one thing that we cannot be in our walk with God and that is lazy. Okay I'm going to be honest...I'm lazy. If you have known me my whole life you will know that I hate doing most things. I do them on my own time but I've learned that in my  relationship with God I cannot afford to be lazy. You must spend  time with him daily. You have to start small and then progress with more and more time daily. Trust God to really speak to you in the time that you spend with him. Think about it when you were a child in school and you had to learn your multiplication charts and how you had to spend time and study them. That's the way I view God I have to study him and learn him.

2. Discipline
I love playing golf. I love the sense of purpose that it gives me. I knew that when I started to play that it was something that I was  going to have to push myself to stay motivated....I had to teach myself discipline. I have learned in this life that you have to tattoo your purpose on your heart so that it is permanent. If you say well "Creseida I want a better relationship with God but I don't know how." My reply to you in this how hard are you pushing yourself? Are you praying daily? Are you allowing God the chance to move ? Are you giving your all? You have to train your mind and your heart to receive all that God has to offer you.

3. Consistency
Most Christians biggest struggle in their relationship with God is staying consistent. In a world where everything is moving it is extremely hard to carve out time for things that are not in our everyday routine. What if we made God apart of it? If we anchor our actions in greatness daily I believe that we will begin to produce nothing but our very best in Christ. My belief is that daily we should be striving to be greater in God.

4. Faith
I love the scripture Hebrews 11:1 "faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen". Faith is knowing that God is in control of every detail of our life even when we cannot see it. I call it "trusting the plan" we have to believe that there is always a finish line in life. God is going to get us there!

5. Heart
What is heart? Now I'm not talking about the heart that pumps blood but I'm talking about heart as in strength. When a person has heart that means that they will stop at nothing to reach the best that they can become. They keep going even when things get hard. You trust God even when things get hard. Heart will help you go far.

The road to becoming a champion is one that can't always be easy. Some people aren't going to understand your drive and determination for God. I for one trust that God is going to do amazing things through you. You have to develop this championship mindset. God wants to create in you a champion. Seek his face and he will give you the desires of your heart. He loves you like crazy!!!!

Peace and love,
Creseida G
