Well I'm back after a much needed hiatus where I took some time for myself. Lately I've been struggling with this notion of the future. While I'm completely content in where I am at right now I'm still apprehensive about the future and what it holds for me. I stopped worrying about it and now I'm giving God more time and I'm writing and praying to him about my worries,letting him lead and direct my life. That time is so precious and crucial to me. In that time recently I realized this....we live in a fairy tale land. Think about when you were younger you wanted everything to be perfect when you got older. You wanted to meet the perfect guy (or girl for my men) and you wanted to live happily ever after. What the fairy tales failed to tell us was that everything is not what it seems often times you have to go through some trials just to even get a chance at the fairy tales life. So as I was preparing for this blog, praying and talking to God something was revealed to me what if we stopped relying on the happy ending and relied more on God? I'm going to let that soak in a second.





..okay. How many of us know that God has a plan? I mean really know? I can recall being in high school and meeting someone that changed my life and my viewpoint on God. I met this person when I was at a spiritual crossroads in my life and he constantly reminded me of God's unfailing love. He reminded me that nothing in life is perfect except for God's love for his children. I did not fully grasp it four years ago when he said it but I do now and it means so much more to me. So maybe you are hanging on to a fantasy that may never come to pass. Maybe you are struggling to come to grips with where your life may be heading. I want to encourage you to keep the faith and trust in God's plan. Guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23) watch who you are allowing to set the atmosphere for your actions. Everyone is not going to understand the path that you are taking nor will they agree with it. Trust in God's plan for you and your life and everything else will fall into place...learn to have faith as small as a mustard seed. Mountains will be moved....lives will be changed all because you left the fairy tales alone.

“You can’t skip experiences, the experiences will be will be what they will be…It’s just what God does”   It’s just what God does? If someone had told me a year ago that pain, pressure, persistence were a part of my journey I would have flat out laughed at them . You see I have always been the person that does not handle stress well (if you are close to me in life you call me dramatic daily). I overanalyze everything to the point where it makes me doubt myself and who God is.  However I have been meditating on this thought “What if pressure creates purpose?” Somebody just skimmed over this so I am going to repeat it  What if pressure created purpose? This too shall pass...

This too shall pass... “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) So this last month has been a season where the enemy has really tried to take control of my life. I had to deal with a lot of emotions that were brand new to me. The hardest part during this time was trusting God to prevail. I had to really learn about GRACE and having a heart of FORGIVENESS . God is so awesome y'all because he spoke to me even in this trying time in my life not only through his word but through his people.   This text from Corinthians is so amazing because it reminds me how strong God is and how he doesn't care how weak we think we are because his power is always going to be on display. We have to place ourselves in a position to rely on God for our effectiveness rather than ourselves.
